DESCRIPTION:Updated 12/26/2019 \n*Change of venue – Ken Teshima’s office (address below) \nAttached are the minutes from our last General Meeting by our Secretary and the revised Bylaws by our Attorney \nAlso below is our agenda: \n\nMinutes approval\nPresident’s report\nJF BoD meeting reports\nCFO’s Report (+Winter Nationals summary)\nEach Committees report\nClub registrations update\nCalendar; events\, tournaments & meetings\nOld Business –\n\n\n\n\nAdopting revised Bylaws\nForming a selection  committee\nPresident & EVP election\nMentoring new leaders\nThink Tank\nEndowments\n\n\n\nNew Business – \n\n\n\nJunior Coaching Program\nSocial Media Committee\n\n\n\nAdjournment \n\n  \n  \nOur Next Nanka Board of Directors meeting which was scheduled for Sunday December 14th had to be changed to Sunday December 29th due to the USJF Board of Directors meeting in Las Vegas.  Our BoD meeting will begin at 9:30 AM at the Gardena Dojo\, 1962 W. 162nd St.\, Gardenia\, CA 90247. \nPlease note this is first official Board of Directors meeting we’ve had since April 22nd and as such is the one in which the new President would have taken office.  Since that person choose to resign and none of the successionary Nanka Vice Presidents wanted the job\, it is still up for grabs.  Please let me know if you are interested. \nThe minutes from the April regular board meeting as well the special meetings we had in September and last week will be reviewed and approved on 12/29.  We will also be firming out our revised Bylaws.  Dennis Hannon our Secretary and William Buckner our Attorney will be getting these emailed to you soon so you have adequate time to review them. \nIn addition; all Vice Presidents\, the CFO\, and the two paid Coordinators are expected to make their reports at this meeting.  These should be emailed to me by a week prior. \nThe other agenda Items are: \n\nElecting an Executive Vice President\nCreating Job descriptions & a Selection committee\nMentoring new leaders\nWinter Nationals results & lessons learned\nJF BoD meeting reports\nClub registrations update\nThink Tank & Endowments\nCalendar & BoD meetings\n\nThis year’s Winter Nationals is on track for Friday December 7th at Azusa Pacific with clinics on December 6th the Hughes Center in Claremont.  On line registration is flowing in and we expect a terrific event.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there. \nLet’s all extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Tadashi Hiraoka\, Sensei who passed away earlier this week.  He was a long standing member of our judo community and Nanka and my very close friend. \nHope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and terrific holidays! \nSee you soon\, \nGary Goltz
