Judo (The gentle way) was founded in Japan around 1882 by Master Jigoro Kano. It is a competitive martial art and sport which uses skills to subdue opponent either by a throw, choke, lock or pin. The popularity of this art has evolved into several forms such as Sambo and BJJ (Brazillian Jiu Jitsu).
Valley Judo Institute is a non-profit Judo Dojo established in 1954 by a group of Japanese judo practitioners to help its members to enhance one’s strength as well as to preserve self discipline.
To date, our dojo has seen a tremendous amount of challenges to which we need to adopt but still maintain the traditional ways of training for kids and adults who want to learn the art. As a result, we’re consistent in achieving our goals inside and outside of competition.
We are open to all ages (5 yrs old and above), transferees, with or without previous experience. Our top notch instructors and advanced students can provide you the best training as possible at reasonable cost. Our school is not commercialized so your belt is hard earned and not bought, we would like to challenge you to start a new beginning with us.
